When you use Ummah+, you may provide the following information:

• Prayer Preferences: Calculation method (ISNA, MWL, Umm al-Qura, etc.), Madhab (Hanafi/Shafi), Azan notification settings, and prayer tracking logs.
• Fasting & Ramadan Data: Fast completion records, Taraweeh tracking, charity logs, and Quran reading goals.
• Quran Reading Data: Bookmarks, last-read position, recitation and translation preferences.
• AI Chat Messages: Messages sent to the AI Islamic assistant for generating responses.
• Zakat Calculations: Financial data entered for zakat calculation (processed locally only).
• Dua & Dhikr Preferences: Favorited duas and tasbeeh counter data.
• Theme & Language Preferences
• Notification Preferences

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

With your permission, we may collect:

• Location Data: Used to calculate accurate prayer times, Qibla direction, and nearby mosque information.
• Device Information: Device model, OS version, app version, and unique identifiers for diagnostics.
• Usage Analytics: Anonymous and aggregated app usage data (screens visited, session duration, feature usage).
• Crash Reports: Diagnostic logs to identify and fix bugs.
• Push Notification Tokens: Required to send prayer and Ramadan reminders.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

If you subscribe to Ummah+ Pro:

• Subscription Status: We receive confirmation of subscription status.
• Payment Processing: Handled entirely by Apple via the App Store.

We do not receive or store your payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide accurate prayer times and notifications
• Display Qibla direction
• Show nearby mosques
• Deliver AI-generated Islamic guidance
• Enable Quran reading and bookmarks
• Track Ramadan progress
• Manage subscriptions
• Improve app performance
• Fix bugs and maintain stability
• Send notifications you opt into

3. Data Storage & Security

3.1 Local Storage

The majority of your personal data is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage. This includes:

• Prayer preferences
• Fasting logs
• Quran bookmarks
• Dua favorites
• Notification settings
• Zakat entries

Uninstalling the app removes this locally stored data.

3.2 Cloud Storage

Limited data may be stored in secure cloud services (such as Firebase) for:

• Analytics
• Push notifications
• Crash reporting
• Optional data sync

All communications are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

3.3 Security Measures

We implement industry-standard safeguards, including:

• Encrypted network communications
• Secure third-party service providers
• Limited data retention
• No password storage
• No sale of personal data

4. AI Chat Processing

The AI Islamic assistant is powered by Google’s Gemini API.

When you send a message:

• It is transmitted securely to Google’s servers for processing.
• We do not permanently store your chat history on our servers.
• Messages are processed in real-time to generate responses.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following services:

• Firebase (Google) – Analytics, crash reporting, messaging
• RevenueCat – Subscription management
• Apple App Store – Payment processing
• Google Gemini API – AI chat responses
• Al-Adhan API – Prayer time calculations

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing its data practices.

6. Data Sharing

We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

We may share data only:

• With service providers necessary for app functionality
• When required by law
• To protect safety and rights
• In case of a business transfer (merger or acquisition)

7. Your Rights & Choices

You Can:

• Disable location access via device settings
• Manage notifications in-app or via system settings
• Limit analytics tracking in iOS Privacy settings
• Cancel subscriptions via Apple ID settings

Ummah+ is not directed at children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us immediately.

Users aged 13–17 may use the app with parental consent.

• Local data: Until app deletion
• Analytics data: Up to 14 months (aggregated & anonymous)
• Crash logs: Up to 90 days
• Subscription data: As required by law
• AI chat data: Processed in real-time, not stored by us

12. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law.

13. App Tracking Transparency

We do not track users across apps or websites.

We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

If significant changes occur, we will:
